ECTRIMS 2017, Paris. European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis

Our group presented two works in the form of a presentation where Magi Andorrà commented a new method of brain atrophy analysis and Dr. H. Martinez-la Piscina presented the quick onset of atrophy in retinal ganglion cells in multiple sclerosis and the progression at 18 months. In the form of a poster, 7 works were presented that encompass several lines of research: the team of Advanced Neuroimaging coordinated by Dr. Llufriu.  She and Eli Solana presented a study of brain connectivity in Neuroeconomics, the metabolic substrates of the efficiency of the Frontoparietal network and an original study with a new MRI technique called "fingerprinting." Dra. Solà has presented a study about the impact of the spinal cord in the daily activity measured by an accelerometer in patients with multiple sclerosis and Dr. Armangué presented a clinical study on the importance of anti-MOG antibodies in children with a first demyelinating episode, based on a Spanish cohort. Dra. Solà and Dr Saiz also presented two studies where they described the most relevant clinical characteristics of patients with paraneoplastic neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder and the results of the Catalan registry of optic neuromyelitis spectrum disorder.
